What is Artfork?

Artfork is a collaborative stage and workbench built for serious creators across all artistic disciplines, including music, film, documentary, photography, visual arts, publishing, and performance. Every collaborative project has a permanent home: a living genealogy of seeds, branches, and trunks that tracks contribution pathways and ensures fair, signed equity splits. The platform isn't only digital either, a real-world mentorship-residency program and a growing calendar of exhibitions, contests, and series already run alongside it, sharing the same equity ledger.

The Botanical Metaphor

We reject standard file-sharing structures. On Artfork, creative works are living lineages:

• Sprout (Draft): Private workspace inside the Studio where ideas germinate. Only you can see it.
• Nursery (Open Call): The seed appears on the Workshop Billboard. The only phase where collaborators can propose grafts (branches) and negotiate equity splits.
• Editing (Active): Grafting is closed. The finalized team works on the creation using discipline-specific Studio tools or offline.
• Submission (Review): The finished work is submitted for publication and screened by an AI pre-check + Content Committee before publishing.
• Trunk (Live): Immutable, locked public release on The Stage.

The Studio

Artfork Studio is your private creative workspace. It contains:

• Plant — a 3-step flow (discipline picker → discipline-specific creation → Studio editor) for starting new works.
• V2 Studio — full production suite for film and documentary: planning Gantt, Fountain script editor, stripboard, cast extraction, call sheets, coverage board, and footage logger.
• Photography Studio — upload pipeline with AI-powered tagging, rights settings (portfolio / editorial / commercial / fine-art edition), and 9-point watermark composer.
• Publishing Studio — in-browser Fabric.js canvas for multi-page printed works (zines, posters, chapbooks).
• Workshop — the collaboration billboard where you browse open calls and propose grafts on other seeds.

Key Pillars of the Platform

1. Ledger-Backed Equity: Built-in revenue attribution. When you approve a graft onto your seed, the collaborator enters your project's equity ledger. When the project earns revenue, funds are routed automatically to every contributor's wallet according to the signed splits. The Sap (platform fee) is always 20%, fixed and non-negotiable.

2. Geographic Terroir: Digital creators are often rootless. Artfork grounds digital art in physical geography by tagging works with a terroir label — a city, region, and country (or an imaginary place). Terroir appears on Stage cards and filters the Workshop.

3. 5-Step Lifecycle: A structured developmental model from Sprout (private draft) to Trunk (locked release), guaranteeing coordination and absolute safety for intellectual property at every transition.

4. Real-World Programming: Series, Contests, and Exhibitions run through the Event Manager on the same equity ledger as any other work, and a mentorship-residency program is already taking shape in Laos, existing artists, local professionals, and students building real, credited work together.
